Cowboys spring training '07
Great seafood
If you are ever in Newport Beach, this place has great seafood, and burgers too. Eaten there twice. Great both times.
California Dreaming '08
Julie and I were lucky enough to spend a couple nights at the Hyatt - Huntington Beach this June (anniversary). We stayed here two nights prior to picking Nicholas up from a week of Scout camp at Catalina Island. This is a view of the beach from our room. Yes, the ocean is that blue stuff of in the distance. We enjoyed our stay.
Ethan started baseball with a vengeance... was a solid infielder and consistent at-bats.....
But as with all good things, they eventually end. Towards the end of the season, Ethan was at an ice skating party, at one point fell. When he fell, he somehow cut his thumb on his hockey skate. The cut severed a tendon an caused some nerve damage, which resulted in orthopedic surgery to repair the injury. This ended his baseball/swim team season. It also resulted in six weeks in a soft/hard cast.
We had to wrap his cast in a towel and plastic wrap before he could hit the beach.
Megan softball '08
Megan and (one of her) best friends, Abby, were on the Softball Angles. They one most of their games. Megan played most positions this year. She even got to pitch during a couple games. Although we didn't keep accurate records, she had a good batting average.
Megan made the Goodyear All-star team for the 9-10 year-old. More information to come regarding the outcome of all-stars...
